Sorry need to make a correction: It states that absinthe is to be set ablaze, when it should read that it is not to be set ablaze.

I happen to love absinthe and have drank it since before it was legal in the States. Yes I have drank it straight, on a dare, but the way absinthe is traditional prepared is by diluting it with water to between 80-100 percent. Absinthe is to be set ablaze, but some people do like to add a little sugar to it. If you do not like the flavor of Anise, licorice-like flavor, then you will not like absinthe. For some of the best information on absinthe please visit:

Bourbon: Your standard when out drinking w/ buddies should be double shots of Wild Turkey 101. If you're at bar that has a good selection of bourbon and you want to kick your friends' asses, then order a round of Booker's. It's made by Jim Beam, unfiltered and bottled at barrel strength, somewhere between 121-127 proof.

Tequila: For God's sake don't order Jose Cuervo, and don't order Patron either. Save ordering shots Patron and other ultra-premuim tequila when you're drinking with women. My recommendation is Sauza Hornitos. And please order doubles of these as well.

Bull Sweats: This is another bourbon shot. (Although some people make them with Tequila.) Order a shot a bourbon and then ask for the bottles of worcestershire and Tabasco. Dash a bunch of each in the shot. (The bartender won't usually make this shot because they don't know how much Tabasco you want.)

Gin: WARNING: Don't order shots of gin with guys who aren't drinkers, they might puke. If you try this, I recommend Bombay Sapphire.

I believe "fun" variation of the 3 wiseman that you're reffering to. Is the 4 Horsemen.

Jim, Jack, John, and Jose.

Another one that will burn the hair off your nuts:

Prairie Fire - A fine combination of 151 and Tabasco Sauce. Drinking will make you look like a man and an idiot at the same time.
